About Us

Halifax County America Semi-Quincentennial Commission

In recognition of the 1776 Halifax Resolves and the celebrations of our Nation’s 250th Anniversary, the Halifax County Board of Commissioners has taken bold strides by establishing the Halifax County America Quincentennial Commission. Tasked with orchestrating festivities, events, and activities, as well as spearheading fundraising initiatives, our goal is to attract visitors not only to Historic Halifax but also to extend the celebration across all communities in Halifax County and beyond. Together, we embark on a journey to commemorate and amplify the profound legacy of Halifax—a story that resonates with the collective heartbeat of freedom.
